Step 1 : they encounter a certain person on a message board (let’s call this person for example “itsokey”)
Step 2 : they got some deep thinking and associate “itsokey” with 1 of the 7 billion people walking on this planet (let’s call this person for example “Peter Bookman”)
Step 3 : they are convinced of their theory and tell everyone around that “Itsokey” = “Peter Bookman” … no evidence needed, but they are surely right
Don’t got it yet ? Another example :
Step 1 : they encounter a new technology (let’s call this one “Glassware”)
Step 2 : they got some deep thinking and associate this “Glassware” with another technology (let’s call this one “vaporware”)
Step 3 : they are convinced of their theory and tell everyone around that “Glassware” = “Vaporware” … no evidence needed, but they are surely right
