One of the truest quotes I've seen on a message board and I will never forget it,because it is so true.
When asked the question,"What is the stock Market" the answer given was,"It is a place where Money is taken from the Impatient and Given to the Patient."
A company puts out a PR of a "possible" buy-out and the next day everyone is trying to figure how much their shares will be worth.
Three days later their angry because their not being kept informed of when they will be getting their money.
A week later the company is a scam,Pump and Dump, and their posting ,they had that feeling right from the beginning.
If everyone did their "own" DD and felt comfortable that in the "Long" run, the odds are in their favor that the worst that could happen is the get their initial investment back, then they wouldn't be looking for support for their decisions from a message board, with a good many people who are trying to get the same answers their looking for.
If youv'e done your DD before you buy and feel comfortable making the decision to buy, then dont second guess yourself or listen to people who know less then you.
When you can go for lunch with friends or go to the golf course,as both were stated here and not worry that the price dropped .10 while you were out, then you know you are confident with your ability to put the odds in your favor and the end result, the majority of the time will be positive.
"Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity."
