ESRX Deal with ABBV on VIEKIRA Pak from WSJ

Express Scripts declined to specify the size of the discount it received from AbbVie, but Dr. Miller said “it’s sufficient enough that we can guarantee to our plans that treating everyone is the right thing to do.” PBMs have been criticized in the past for profiting from the discounts they receive from drug makers, but an Express Scripts spokesman said “the vast majority of the value” from its deal with AbbVie will be “passed through to clients.”
