This may or may not be contributory to the hiatus, but if the "player" involved is Johnson Controls in pursuit of some deal with Exide, their CEO and Board have been engaged in a little conflict involving extra-marital curricula (sometimes better known as "diddling the help") which resulted in the CEO getting docked $1M for violating corporate ethics and standards policies.
That matter has now concluded.
May be totally unconnected, too. But it makes for interesting gossip. Maybe JCI's CEO just got over-charged thinking about owning Exide! In the military such actions would be called a "dishonorable discharge". LOL.
