If the 200mg is fine, why keep the 800mg dose alive? Because of the quicker response?

I heard them mention their belief that the 800 mg dose is superior for treatment refractory HCV. For that reason, Novartis is working with Idenix to try to find ways to ameliorate the side-effects that led to the dropout problem.
