Here's an example of the BB width, with QQQQ. You can see that the BBs are getting very contracted now. They are have been this contracted only 7 times previously in the last two years. Rapid expansion invariably followed, accomplished by the index "pushing" along one of the BB rails.
Here, I think the rail that will most likely get pushed open is the upper rail. If I am wrong and QQQQ begins pushing down the lower rail, that will be quickly apparent by following the BB width, and noting when it moves back up between the blue lines. The way I set things, there is never any whiplash in the BB width.
