You're absolutely right, Daaverage. I will broaden out into sectors once I get myself set up. However, I generally intend to stay away from individual stocks. I unfortunately have this sad history of selling stocks for single digit tax losses-- can you say CHK and UPL, and then buying and holding onto pigs like SGTL. Now, this is not to say that disaster cannot strike while trading sector funds or indices (Heaven knows I have experienced good and bad here, too), but at least one is more diversified, which I need to do.
