But a CNET review would give the NP-1 and NTEK some credibility - why wouldn't NTEK have shipped them a unit immediately to be reviewed?

So the excuse - does make any sense for NTEK:

If CNET did a review on the NP-1 it would just be discredited by the naysayers on IHUB. Why waste your time...
