Reclassification can happen soon, way before 2020. A U.S. District Judge in CA is to rule this month whether it is constitutional to have MJ under Schedule 1. The Government did a poor job defending Schedule 1. If overturned, this is not a final reclassification, but it can be sent back to the Justice Department for reclassification.
