After reading the transcript, I have to agree with those who say it was a pretty disgraceful grand jury investigation. Throwing all the evidence out there in a so-called "document dump" just scrambled the minds of the jurors. There was no cross-examination of Darren Wilson. He didn't get challenged on anything. And they didn't have to bring 1st degree murder against him, either... manslaughter or excessive force could have swayed this jury.
The question is, why did he shoot the kid the second time on the street? Brown was running away and then, for some reason he stops near a lamp post, turns around and runs back at Wilson thru a hail of bullets... that doesn't seem like a very believable story to me. But you can't separate the fact that the kid was fighting with him in the cruiser. And 10 minutes before that confrontation he was violently robbing a convenient store.
Bottom line, Wilson was an inept policeman who lost control of the situation.
The next thing to look for is a Civil Rights case which seems unlikely here. I'm sure Michael Brown's pathetic"family" will file a civil lawsuit against Ferguson which will no doubt settle without a trail.
