And He did so -- but not the way you or I would have done it. Instead of preserving the actual physical manuscript, which would have resulted in men worshiping it as a holy relic as the catholics do, He preserved it by having it accurately copied many times and in many places, and by having all of it (except 11 verses) quoted extensively in the writings of the early church fathers so that we might compare the texts.

His ways are so much better than ours.
