For tables, I do it just a bit differently (now if I can just figure a way to make this display):
[ pre ]
Date Open High Low Close Volume Adj. Close*
Jun-05-03 17.45 17.74 17.33 17.64 3,669,600 17.64
Jun-04-03 17.30 17.79 17.14 17.60 4,842,900 17.60
Jun-03-03 17.44 17.67 17.02 17.31 6,443,900 17.31
Jun-02-03 18.10 18.29 17.27 17.45 7,474,800 17.45
May-30-03 18.12 18.18 17.53 17.95 6,834,800 17.95
[ /pre ]
In the foregoing, I inserted spaces in the [<command>] so they wouldn't execute. Then I tried to show the layout of the data. Unfortunately, the system removes the extra spaces which I've used for formatting, so you can't see the way it was entered. However, take my word for it, it looked just like the following:
Date Open High Low Close Volume Adj. Close*
Jun-05-03 17.45 17.74 17.33 17.64 3,669,600 17.64
Jun-04-03 17.30 17.79 17.14 17.60 4,842,900 17.60

I don't know see how the columns were created from the example you put in the FAQ. Oh, incidentally, I use an ancient version of Netscape, 4.51, so maybe the world is a little different for me.
