Mlsoft, Amazing how many "shareholders" put up with not receiving a dime in income from their investments. Their only hope is share price appreciation. many of these comapnies work solely for the enrichment of their top employees.
Look at MSFT. If you bought back in 1998 your only return on this stock to date would be the 8 cents they pay out in dividends this year. Over that same time, while MSFT has been earning billions in profits, how many more stock options have they issued.
Then look at a comapny like DUK. Selling at about the same price as it did in 1997 but has returned to it's employess nearly (best quess) 40% of it's earnings to it's owners.
This issue that these tech companies don't want to show, and feel that it is unfair to show stock based compensation as a expense against earnings is ridiculus.
