Uh no that's not what the article stated. The $1M number was posted in Jacques Houle's report and it was for further proving the resources for the entire property.

The tailings pond is just one section of it.

The real news is the ecologist commenting that cleaning up the tailings pond might be a good idea. NBRI will get a chance to show that the mountain can be mined in an environmentally sensitive manner.

Obviously this is great news.
