I hope you have noted in the past that I am not a big fan of these tax cuts, at least not as proposed. Especially if coupled with real offsetting increases in customs fees, I have no problem with sending minimum wage families an extra $400 in hard times, but call it what it is - welfare, not "tax cuts" - and admit it is funded by higher taxes.

Congress is on a spending spree, Republicans and democrats - and although I think deficit spending is a good thing in a recession, it should be more carefully thought out and targeted to do the most good - they have done none of that.
