Tim, I don't know how the ATI video performance compares as I am not a gamer. Mostly use my laptop while out of the country for web browsing/email, money management, photo display/edit/print, and misc. home/office functions.

I may use the DVD play capability occasionally since the 15" screen is really crisp, bright, and smooth and the built-in speakers are quite adequate for movies. I couldn't believe the price for such a machine....
