No, I said there was a chance of a crash and that I was positioned to take advantage. I did short aggressively and covered before the bounce (most of what I did, I logged here and I posted about it real time). I made about 20% in about a two week period. Some of the profits are being deployed in CTIX so I'm happy.
I'm not too proud to adjust my positions based on new information. A few weeks back we were on tenuous ground and the Fed jawboned the markets back up with talk of extending QE3. It still doesn't fix the fundamental issues our economy and the markets by extension. I'll look for shorting opportunities in the near future as the market becomes pregnant again. It's always easier to bet on the market going up at it usually does. It's much harder to catch the down drifts but one can make huge sums very quickly (but risk is very high).
Based on the current market, I believe short term momentum players will juice the market through the end of the year but I'm NOT sanguine about the economy and market going forward.
I am excited about CTIX and think it will go up in both a bull or bear market.
