RS99, I have Scottrade also, and they(Scottrade) would not allow transfer of PMBS from Merrilledge. I had to open up a TDAmeritrade acct to enable transfer. Merrilledge did not like the fact I had PMBS and I received warning from them to liquidate or move elsewhere. Cannot liquidate something this low in pps, got to wait for the 5 yr. plan. So I had to transfer.
Whew! Talk about beating on someone when they are down ... I have no patience for that so I closed everything ME down and moved to TD, after ST refused acceptance of transfer. And I already had a couple of accounts with ST. All this just for PMBS!
ME must have thot I was a penny-trader or flipper/day trader trading for beer money. I told each supervisor, over and over again, to look at my record, and that I am an investor, but was just read the 'riot act.' Go figure.
Why should any brokerage co. care whether or not I transfer or buy PMBS? What is it to them? PMBS has to have quite a reputation! How can we see silver or copper when certain brokerage houses refuse to let you trade PMBS?
Any one with similar/contrasting experiences recently with PMBSD?
