ergo sum....

algore made his pitch to the lower end of the economic spectrum, making his candidacy a battle of the "haves" vs the "have nots" - the rich vs the poor or "them vs us". Few folks would deny that, and even most dems agree including his running mate, who was appalled by it and thinks it cost them the election. Many dems think that they did a poor job of getting their message across (the same thing they say about the mid-term elections) but I would say that they did a very good job of getting their message out - but the electorate did not think much of it -- if you think about it, there was no way that Bush should have even come close to defeating algore.

As for the WMD debate, we are in somewhat agreement - it is all politics for the politicians of the left, but I cannot imagine what makes some folks actually believe that Bush intentionally lied about it - a notion that defies all logic. To use it for political gain is one thing, but to actually believe it is utter nonsense. The same is true for the 09/11 idiocy where folks claim that Bush was somehow complicit in that - sheer nonsense that only the very foolish would even consider.

As for dear ole Rush, I have listened to him from time to time and tend to enjoy all but the self promotion BS because in general I agree with much of what he says even though I think he often carries his ideas too far. If I were looking for facts, though, I would look somewhere else - he is for entertainment, not education.
