There never was that specific comment, if you listen closely.
It was a misunderstanding by Dr Menon.
Patrick Cox said 2/3 of a billion, referring to the Durata acquisition, valued at approximately 675 million USD (roughly 2/3 of a billion). Dr Menon heard/understood 2 or 3 billion, and Leo didn't hear, or seemed to not hear the comment.
It was an awkward moment, to say the least.
I hope this scenario does not repeat itself for $675 million.
There is so much more potential here.
This has me freaked out a bit as a long investor.
