I beg to differ

The people in the 1960s, 1970s, etc said the same thing. Did they not live in "sad times"?

We have always been in "sad times"...there were just different things in the ecosystem, different parameters, more advancements.

But we've been survivors...we've managed to figure it out.

No one really knows how bad anything is...and the same different things that were just as bad in the past will be bad in the future.
