Those wonderful "anti-war" Europeans apparently have been moving closer to the Bushies on mid-east issues.

How quickly we forget France's brutal history in Algeria and their collusion with Algerian generals to nullify the results of an early 1990s election where Islamic parties were the clear winners.

Tens and perhaps hundreds of thousands of Algerians died in the brutal civil war that followed -- a conflict that still simmers to this day.
