While there are many benefits to Mantra's technology here is just one example that will carry over to the others.

Politicians (they who are wiser than us) have caught themselves up with ethanol as a fuel with tax subsidies.

They need a reason (excuse) to get out from under another ill-conceived policy (i.e. corrupt).

By supporting Mantra's CO2 reclamation technology they are now acting responsibly and then they can phase out ethanol subsidies (without losing votes).

In politicians defense, the Mantra technology wasn't as well developed as it has become when the ethanol subsidies were initiated.

A win-win.
