Speaking of China, last night on PBS' NewsHour they focused on China buying American food companies - they purchased Smithfield Foods, Inc in Smithfield, VA for more than it was worth just to crack the American food market... According to the U.S. attorney who worked on the Smithfield deal for China, China plans to buy more large American food companies.
