in the one third of the US that are the occupied provinces of México, spanish predates english, it is the tongue of the indígena therein, it is rich in nuance and literature, highly useful, it is spoken by the majority of souls in these Américas, it rather makes sense to use it, officially or otherwise
I don't completely understand your statement... one third of the US? Are you talking about CA for example? When you said "spoken by the majority" are you talking about these areas? CA for instance?
