Priors auths for on label or off label (how I got my N scrip several yrs ago) won't matter when a drug is totally dropped from a formulary - insurance simply won't pay a dime, period. If taking two generics to get the same results for an Rx combo drug were really equivalent the drugs would have failed in trials and/or not be given FDA approval (POZN and AVNR products, for instance). Plus, some generics are not 100% identical to the brand name, and even generics for the same drug differ in activity - I know this for a fact, as it's happened to me in the past.
