If true, then you have provided the single biggest reason why Intel has lost market share as fast as AMD has been able to ramp capacity. The majority of the end users aren't looking for more performance, they are looking for a low price. The OEMs know that.
Intel needs to listen to their customers instead of trying to drive the market where they want it to go.
