It was a slow massive Colin Powell build up that put a force in place before even moving against Saddam's army.
Not counting those troops now in Iraq, it would take in similar slow build, but the objective A LOT tougher.

From merely a military appraisal, Saddam Hussein is one history's stupidest military strategist.

He lined up his troops and with dreadful supply lines, along the confined Kuwait border and just sat had sit there as the U.S. built a force that would run them over(giving that they had already endured weeks of being cracked from constant bombing--as they were but sitting ducks--in short Hussein was a military idiot.)


U.S will have no such stupidity and incompetence from Iran, i suspect.

Also to build the necessary force the U.S. has 2 choices, crash the american economy, leaving the young needing a job so bad; "what hell i will be a soldier", thus filling the need for troops, or to, otherwise go to the mandatory draft.

Would Bush get the mandatory draft? o about as fast as you can say Joe Biden or Hillary Clinton, in other words the democrats would give Bush the needed vote to reactivate the mandatory draft.( o,but isn't Bush going to be impeached because of Libby's testimony??/ O please, we are in america the land of Fox News./ But we have video tape showing him lying about leaking??/ Bush will say sorry, and the congress will say forgiven, in my view./ But the ZTTP democrats are in ecstasy thinking this the end of Bush??/ So what else is new????:)

Point is this would require a huge operation.

But then we have Rummy saying, who need troops, we will just bomb until Iran is a crater( which will, believe it or not, actually get a vigorous movement going, and not some we have contact with reality, "Give Peace a Chance CandleLight marches in the park" type exercises in futility)

We can also see a strong chance the supply of oil to world would drop about 25%

And Hugo Chavez is capable of stopping oil supply to U.S., and we would have to go to war with Venezuela) but like with what?).

And o my, Russia might think what the hell Bush is too dumb to believe cripes we lost the cold war; hell he has put us back in the game, hell we could come out the winner in this madness.

You can go on and on ping-ponging this around; but it comes out that this is all Grave and Dangerous Uncertainty .

America started all this with the arrogant view that it is INVINCIBLE and it had sold this view well to the world, but now more and more ask every day, are they really, really invincible, it sure looks like they are not nearly as mighty as they pretend???
