Addendum just added:<<Leverett, a senior fellow at the Saban Center for Middle East Addendum just added:Policy, at the Brookings Institution, says President Bush considers the Iranian regime "fundamentally illegitimate." As a result, he says, the administration is stuck with two choices--dealing within the UN Security Council, where Russia and China are effectively blocking serious punitive measures, and unilateral military action, which Washington is not in a position to undertake.>> That is what Leverett surmises from his feedback.
My intuition, is, Bush will take unilateral action because he is Bush.
When will he do this, at the point he is inwardly getting very angry that others are not backing him(it is called a tantrum).
Condy won't even be able to stop him.
addendum: He would then have to be declared incompetent and relieved of BEING the CIC, or the action will proceed.
Therefore, the action will happen because no one has the courage to stop this guy
