We attack Iran, they are going to attempt to close the Strait of Hormuz.(That stealth flying boats are surely designed specifically to be a factor in the SOH)

25% of the world's oil supply passes thru the SOH, and this is interesting, 75% of Japan's oil passes thru the SOH
The Strait of Hormuz, a narrow waterway separating the Arabian Gulf from the Gulf of Oman and the North Arabian Sea, is only about 40 miles wide, and is 34 miles wide at its narrowest point. By far the world's most important oil chokepoint, the Strait consists of 2-mile wide channels for inbound and outbound tanker traffic, as well as a 2-mile wide buffer zone.

The Persian Gulf is a shallow, semienclosed basin with a mean depth of only 25 to 40 m.

It has one 2 mile wide inbound channel and one 2-mile outbound channel, so we can presume the 40meter depths is in those 2 channels, or about 100 to 120 feet.

But Iran has indicated that they have been building miniature subs that can fire torpedos, have you come across any display of those during these war games?
If they had say 20 mini-subs currying around the SOH, they could raise havoc, but they would require very skilled and brave men to operate i would think.

U.S. Navy moving any war major vessel into the strait runs a high risk.
Iran says they have been mss producing torpedos, and have plenty.
But another key is Iranian , do they have the modern level mines to mine the SOH.
Ther ability to, or not to mine the SOH will be significant.
Cripes since the SOH north side is their shore line, they can unleash there surface to sea missiles into the SOH.
