Houston losing QTN.....We received a letter today from Greg Calvert, Director, Video Production Management Group,Time Warner Cable, Houston Division.
The letter reads in part:
"I must reluctantly notify you of the discontinuation of QTN carriage on Time Warner Cable effective Friday, April 7th. This decision has nothing to do with lack of demand, pressure from any group or the perceived quality of QTN programming. It has everything to do with business, and specifically QTN's failure to comply with the agreed-upon terms of their carriage agreement. QTN's financial woes and management instability have been well-publicized in natiuonal publications like The Advocate and OUT. The effects of these challenges have been far reaching, impacting many of their employees, vendors, and now distributors. It is my sincere hope that QTN will return to Houston at some point in the future."
The letter goes on to urge us to consider here!TV which is available for $5.95/mo. and states that they are in negotiations with Viacom to carry Logo.
Guess we will now be watching for Verizon to make QTN available in Houston.
