I always thought the health of a bank was determined by how much Assets exceeded liabilities and how much liquid capital was available (of high grade) to cover deposits
Of course the bank had huge massive Assets. And we know the bank was losing money at an accelerating pace and had massive liabilities
I do not know anything about "legacy" mortgages but the rest would have been sold to F and F ..... at some point the selling of mortgages ends and there is a pile at the bank. (Either a pile of cash - massive - and no mortgages --- or as I believe in this case a pile of mortgages and not a ton of cash
We will see. I hope that even 1Billion is found. But as one that began to doubt if I would get my triple on the last few thousand of H shares (i.e. was there enough cash in the LT) - I only now begin to feel confident of that.
Is there a hidden prize? That seems to be a question that can not be answered if indeed it is hidden
