Yes, I think your assumption is reasonable that the odd makers could/should be successful in making investment decisions, but we really don't know. Some hard data would be illuminating... Frankly, I do not understand this whole odds making business, but they must be good at it, otherwise the bookies'd go bankrupt rather quickly.
