Alleged agreement giving Iran loot from Iraq and areas of power which I believe to be the oil laden Shiite south would most probably also give the Kurds an independent oil rich state in the north much to Turkey’s chagrin as this could easily tempt Turkey’s Kurds to take a more aggressive stance.

Yet, they have no say in what happens on its territory and the biggest slap came when the US, the occupying country, decided to strike a deal with Iran to divide the loots and the areas of power, knowing that Iran did not fire one bullet and not one American soldier came out of its territory.

Stepping out of the press conference in Baghdad, one of the senators told Asia Times Online that talks with Iran "have been ongoing for some time and I feel that they've reached some tentative agreement". This confirms an earlier comment by a European diplomat in Tehran who told Asia Times Online that the "talks have been going on for some time through the Iranian and US embassies in Kabul".

Turkey:Kurdish protesters attack police with firebombs in southeast Turkey, ANKARA, March 28 (AP) _ Kurdish protesters in Diyarbakir, the largest city in the Kurdish-dominated southeastern Turkey, rampaged Tuesday after a funeral for four of the 14 Kurdish guerrillas killed by troops, hurling firebombs at armoured police vehicles, smashing windows at a police station and stabbing two police officers. Police launched tear gas canisters at the crowd of hundreds in return, triggering street clashes which left at least five police officers and three journalists injured and several businesses and vehicles damaged, Anatolia news agency reported.
