They can't really put GW in their hardware units YET, though Sphere did say they were developing a chip. I can see GOOG putting the software in their App store, giving everyone the option to buy a subscription to Glassware.
But to be fair, most people who buy Chromebooks buy the unit knowing what it does. Understanding that it doesn't have the Microsoft Operating System (and more importantly the expense that comes along with it). Its sometimes marketed as the Anti-Microsoft product, but I understand what you are saying. The more its able to do, the more value a customer receives.
I also see the Chesterfield County School system model being duplicated many times. In the Education setting, for now. More to follow
