The answer to your question is one that has been asked many, many times and answered with much speculation and some wishful thinking as well
MCIG filed their S-1 back in April, the SEC responded and asked for some further clarification and MCIG had until June15th to reply.

As far as the effective date to receive the VCIG div it has been identified as the day after SEC approval. This date still remains an unknown right now. The general consensus here on the board is that you must be on record as the owner of the shares which is usually 3 days after you purchase.
