Muffin story -- part two...

I decided to leave the last muffin for The Commander. I felt it was the kind thing to do.

He knew how much I was looking forward to having it and he didn't eat it, so it's still in the refrigerator, winking at me with it's cranberry eyes and tempting me to be selfish.

It snowed here last night. After my walk, I shoveled the driveway so The Commander could spend a little more time under the covers without guilt. When I came in, he commented that I sure earned that last muffin and that he hopes I enjoy ever bite.

I will.

But today's Saturday. The deep discount store near here is only open Saturday mornings and they always have really good muffins. With The Commander getting a slow start on the day, I'll be able to replenish our muffin supply and have them on the kitchen counter well before he gets going.

I never thought of cutting the last muffin in half. It's an excellent suggestion. I hope I remember it for the next time.
