I agree with what you are saying but unfortunately most people don't. We live in a very litigious society.
When I was 7 I fractured my skull in the pool of the Beach Club that my family belonged to. I was doing flips into the pool and I hit my head on the side of the pool. I was unconscious and floating underwater.
People called for the lifeguard and he ignored them and said I was just trying to see how long I could stay underwater.
A 12 year old boy dove in and pulled me out of the pool and I was taken to the hospital.
Did my parents sue? Nope. Should they have? Maybe. I was stupid for doing flips off the side of the pool, I should have done them on the diving board but the lifeguard was negligent in not pulling me out of the water.
I guess my point is.........if that happened today I probably would have owned the Beach Club!!
The fractured skull also explains a lot about me doesn't it????
