Xan, you sure you're not thinking of Gottaplay? G-Play never did go with any public company that I know of.

Seems they've all but thrown in the towel. They killed their affiliate program, don't even have any Xbox-360, and are sending all new subs over to Gottaplay:

Gottaplay, meanwhile, continues to bring in subs. They are now up to six DCs. No free trial offered with them, pay up front. But you can cancel within 10 days and get a full refund.
