Scientific American had a great issue on this topic back in the 90s. I found 3 more they didn't have classified back in the time I read it. They are more in the esoteric side of things.

This approach finds there are possibly 16 different types of mentality depending on which of the 4 quadrants of the brain are the most active within any given person tested.
It all depends on your definition of intelligence as it turns out.
