Well, yes and no. I mean that's exactly what you and I are--honest and sincere investors--right? So, yes, i think that vast majority (maybe 80-90% of investors) are just regular people trying to supplement their incomes in a weak and turbulent economy. On the other hand, unfortunately, I admit I'm just starting to learn about the stock market this year, and I have been blown away (but not exactly surprised) by the lies and deceit both on these boards and across the internet (both from pumpers AND short sellers--and let's not even get into the potential manipulation by the market makers and institutions). But this one thing I KNOW: FINRA and the SEC have done far, far, FAR more damage to my portfolio than any pumper/shorter could ever hope to do! And the irony is that it is OUR tax dollars that pay the salaries of these people. That's a problem!
