Agreed. The lack of understanding of such nuances is one of the things that turns investors into either bullish or bearish zealots with respect to China (and other emerging markets). These kinds of investors think China must have either super-charged growth or go bust—i.e. they fail to even recognize the possibility of a middle ground.
