mlsoft-- actually some people will eat bass in early Spring. The cold water has their flesh firm. Still, all that work with a flyrod is beyond comprehension <ggg>. I'll take thr trolling method and if all else fails it is not a concern as the boat ride is relaxing. Also, 2 rods per angler with 2 baits each being trolled cover much more water than the fly guy can cover-- odds of a higher catch rate hang with the troller. Nothing like a box full of walleye on ice..... <g>. Then again, I'm an old retired guy with lots of time... wifey teaches so winters are peaceful,,, need to get away (often) when school is out to maintain that peaceful lifestyle.<vbg>.
