Kenco:I believe you may remember that they tried different forms of security such as MMXT and that root kit fiasco company. Why doesn't it make sense that they once again are looking at different types of defense against theft of copywritten material. They are more experienced and probably glad they had two different systems at work? They also know that SCMI/MMXT is a good company to work with and responds promptly to developing problems. All software has problems and the more complex the system the more problems.
AACS is an encrypted system and by nature a complicated way to ensure problem free security without going to excessive handshakes and keys. IMO, the hackers will have a field day with that one once it comes to market.
No spin, just logic and faith in the new management. We have folks under SCMI/MMXT management that are intimately experience in the field and I suspect also very familiar with AACS. They know the limitations and will in all probability be answering with another alternative.
Nice try to spin this to your point of view. SharonB
