Why does ihub charge money for # of posts and spell check and private messages when it is free on most other boards?
Speaking for them, and in a way they probably would not, it is very simple: because this is a business and businesses do not continue as ongoing entities unless they make money. The basic motive of allowing free posting is to give people a taste (but not the whole meal) so that they will spend their money to buy the full meal. If they get the full meal for free, there is no reason to spend any money.
Seems most who come here to post about their investment are rather unhappy with the format in its present format.
You may be sincere, but it sure sounds like you (and your mystical "most who come here to post") are only unhappy about not having the premium features you have not paid for: that is, unhappy that you are not getting the full meal for free.
Try buying the full meal and see if you have the same questions. I suspect that you will not.
Edit: now that I think about it, Bob has gone even further and made the full meal available for free during select periods -- happy hours. I do not know the precise timing of the happy hours, but you can try some (if not all) premium services for free during those times.
