The interviewers’ questions of Watt in the C-SPAN show were very good and probing of many aspects of the conservatorship.
However, Watt couldn’t seem to fully answer most questions. He was full of “thoughtful” sound bites. I kept thinking "empty suit" when what I wanted to hear from was someone experienced and knowledgeable, an expert.
Some points:
He stated that he hasn’t reviewed the CWJC bill. Couldn't comment.
On ending the conservatorship. He implied he’s waiting for Congress to tell him what to do.
Many of Watt’s responses can be summarized as: it’s not my job; it’s not my roll; I inherited this situation.
