I very much doubt Iraq will save the day as far as energy prices. The way "reconstruction" is progressing I doubt that Iraq will reach pre-war levels of output for at least another year. By then global demand growth for oil will have outstripped possible additional output from Iraq. I am afraid that the long awaited peak of world oil production is within sight.

As for equities I will be looking at sectors that are relatively shielded from global competition, particularly Asian competition, such as utilities and health care.
