This is wrong the first step was to widen the channel for our modern equipment. The blasting removed several hundred tons of material over the gold gravels. Once we remove this waste rock fully we will be in the sugar zone.
Many people get confused about this. The gravel the gold is in is approx 1 foot to 3 feet thick. However we can't mine a 3 foot area we have to mine a 7 foot area to be able to work in so 60% - 80% of the blasted rock will not be the gravel the gold is in.
Personally I can't wait to get back in the white channel and pull another sample. The black channel should have more gravel and more gold so we will have to wait for future PR to see when the white channel might be mined again.
