A trademark on a name is not anything like a patent on a technology, i.e. the Blu buy by big tobacco. So, for a couple of $100 bucks you can get a trademark. You or I can get a trademark of anything that has not been trademarked before. Btw, provides only protection of the name, not anything more.
mcig and vcig products are knock-off products from China and there may be a patent owned by someone (maybe named Wong...rotfl) or just knock-offs. Nice try however. (to use your fav term)
