I was just clarifying it for you. (your post : http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=101153194 ) Not sure how you calculate divy but most of the investment world use a percent, so whether it's split 10-1 or 2-1, the percent stays the same.. same with the market capitalization of the company and the P/E ratio, although the earnings per share will go down by a factor of 7... Again, all cosmetic.. of course the stock will SEEM cheaper for some folks and instead of only being able to buy 1 share for $570 you will have 7 shares when the split happens and your $570 investment will still be $570. And whether they split the stock or not, the DIVY as a percent will go up as they raise their divy....

shanak10, By buying B4 the FS, one ends up with a Lower PPS (averaging down) so for me, it makes sense to buy sooner than later. AAPL could easily Run on 06/09.

And i have no idea what you mean in the above response? Of course the stock may run into the split, but how does buying before the split lower your average???

Anyway, good luck to you on AAPL - I have not liked the stock for sometime but like here here for a run to $590-600 in the coming week or two
